Importing old blog entries to WordPress

  I’m not sure if I can do this or not, but I’ve had an account with LiveJournal for over six years. I’d love to have a WordPress blog, but not if it means losing my past entries. Is it possible to import them all to this blog? I can’t seem to find anything on it in the forums or the FAQs.

  You can do it. First you need to export your old posts from LJ as an .XML file from http://www.livejournal.com/export.bml

  Then, when you’ve set up your WP blog, you upload the file in your WordPress Dashboard > Manage > Import > LiveJournal. It might take a while if you’ve got 6 years of posts, so best to do it early morning US time when the servers aren’t as busy.
