Importing old (deleted) posts from Typepad

  So, I used to have a blog at Typepad, which I deleted when I started my blog on WordPress. Today a friend of mine told me that I could have carried over all of my old posts from Typepad to my WordPress blog… Silly me, I had no idea this was a feature. So I’m now wondering if it’s too late. Did I blow it? Or can my older posts be salvaged? When I log onto typepad, I see the old posts as “deleted” but the content is still there along with all the pictures, etc. Would it be possible to import these into my current WordPress blog?

  Hi Ellie,

  Do you have an export file from Typepad of the blog posts you had there? If so, you can use the importer (under Tools > Import in your WordPress.com blog’s dashboard) to import that content into your blog here.

  However, please note that you may not be able to import media content (such as images) from the Typepad blog. If you have any questions about exporting the content from your Typepad blog, you may want to check out this help page from Typepad: http://help.typepad.com/typepad_to_wordpress.html
