Importing old LiveJournal posts into WP.com?

  I’m new to WordPress and am loving it (can’t begin to tell you how frustrated I was with LiveJournal). But I’d like to pull over some selected old posts from LiveJournal into my new blog. Can anybody point me to the plug-in or feature that will allow me to do that?

  There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot install any individual plugins into them.

  I believe you are left with exporting and importing.
