Importing old wordpress into new

    My new wordpress will not import my old wordpress’s xml file.

    A few days ago, I clicked on ‘Tools –> Import and selected the xml file from my computer but my new wordpress.com site says ‘We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed.’

    It’s been about four days, and I still haven’t noticed any changes except importing my former categories.

    My old wordpress was self-hosted, and my new wordpress is a .com site, if that makes any difference.

    I’ve cleared that import for you. You may need to import that file again though.
