Howdy @rainernight!
Have you followed all of the steps outlined in the “Import From Xanga” support document?
If you have and still cannot get it to work, let me know and I’ll tag this thread for staff assistance.
Thanks!

You need to find the export button on Xanga. You’ll do the import on WordPress.com.
Log in to your Xanga account here: http://xanga.com/wp-login.php
After logging in, go to Tools -> Export. This is where you will download an archive file that will be imported to WordPress.com.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

While logged into WordPress.com, go to your Admin dashboard at rainernightfanfiction.wordpress.com/wp-admin.
When you get to your dashboard, in the sidebar go to Tools -> Import.
Then, choose “Xanga”. On the next screen, choose your file and then click the “Upload file and import” button.
Now wait for the magic to happen! You’ll get an email from WordPress.com when the import is finished.
I hope this helps! Have a great day!

You will find the imported files as posts, comments, images, and tags. There is not an actual folder where the file is imported.
When the import happens, whatever content you are importing is placed in its respective place. If you have posts imported, they can be found on your posts page, images will be in your media library, etc.
You are very welcome! I’m glad you got it figured out :)
