Importing photos from my computer

I created a draft blog and want to import pictures from my computer..before this version of software, it was easy to go to gallery and insert them. How do I do now? I have been trying for at least a half hour to insert pictures, without success. I see create a gallery below the draft; but AI can’t seem to insert them. I tried dragging them…no luck.

There are currently some problems with the New Post button in the Reader.
You can still easily create posts and insert images the way you want them using the original post editor on your blog’s main dashboard. Go to your blog’s main dashboard (http://joanperr.wordpress.com/wp-admin/) and create a new post by clicking on Posts ->Add New in the sidebar menu. You’ll find creating posts this way is much more stable and provides many more options for making it look exactly like you want. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/new-post-screen/ Existing posts you can edit by going to Posts ->All Posts and clicking the Edit link under the post title.

I am currently in http://wordpress.com/post/(the number for this draft)/837 There is an option on the bottom to create a gallery. I can import my photos to the gallery. I place my cursor in the body of my draft then drag the photo to that spot. Nothing happens. Very frustrating.

I finally was able to access the old way of editing posts by the first link that you gave me. Thank you….I don’t know why they changed it…this was so simple and easy to understand.

Yes, as I said, there are currently some problems with trying to create a post at that screen, including adding images. This is part of an ongoing process to make the site more mobile-friendly and they’re essentially live-testing it while we’re using the same site.
I suggest you highlight everything you’ve written thus far and copy it (Ctrl-C if you’re on a desktop or laptop computer) as that post editor is also glitchy with saving drafts.
Then head to the post editor in the dashboard as I indicated above, paste your post there (Ctrl-V), and continue editing it.

You’re welcome. For the time being, use the full dashboard to create new posts as there’s no way of knowing when the New Post button in the Reader will work correctly again.
