Importing posts from custom domain tumblr

Hi there!

I am trying to import posts from a tumblr with a custom domain; I have suspended the custom domain on tumblr to be able to import the posts, but the Import Tumblr tool still shows a red cross due to the custom domain.

How long would this take to synch up?

Hi,

no need to wait, you should be able to start a new import already. Have you tried to log out and log back into your account?

I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting my Tumblr account to WP, but have not logged in and out of WP – I will try now.

Hm, ok, I’ve run a hard-reset on the entire import system for your site.

Theoretically, that should do it. Would you please check again?

Should I unlink my tumblr from the domain from the host side as well?

Yes. Can you try that?

Also, if it still isn’t working. Create a new site and try importing there.
