Importing posts from htm or html

    I was previously posting as a guest on another WordPress format blog for many years. The owner recently took his site down and won’t be bringing it up. I want to export my posts from that site to my new one, but since the site is no longer online, I don’t have that option. And I didn’t have admin permissions to do that before anyway.

    I do have htm copies of my posts and many of my posts are still available via the wayback machine. Is there a way to copy and load my posts to my new blog from the htm or html copies?

    There should be. You will probably need staff intervention to make them into an import file, so contact them via your Dashboard Help button. If all else fails, you can copy/paste them into the HTML editor of your blog, one post at a time.
