Importing problem

Add topic to favorites
It’s been about a day now and I’ve been trying to import my blog. It’s been loading without any visible progress the entire time as everything is still set at zero. Is something wrong? What can I do to be sure that everything is working? I’m trying my best to be patient, I’m just a bit worried.

Hi there – I’ve double checked to confirm your import is indeed still queued and waiting to run. Please do reconnect to your Tumblr account if you’ve already disconnected it.

We’re processing quite a few imports from Tumblr at the moment, which is causing a backlog of imports in our system. While it may look like your import failed, it’s just in line for processing, and luckily it’s still in the queue. Please allow this to run another 24 hours, and if it hasn’t completed by then, update us here.

I want to thank you for responding so quickly.
That was very kind and a little unexpected if I’m being completely honest.
I wanted to wait a bit like you said before responding with any sort of update, but as of now nothing has changed or progressed. Regardless I’m willing to wait and am currently very happy with this site (despite the fact that I’m still figuring things out).

Once again, thank you very much for your update. You are very kind.

It took about four days, maybe three and a half. It was a blog I had for about three years so years worth of posts is definitely going to take longer than a smaller newer blog.
Be patient though! This definitely does work!

If you haven’t yet, please create your own thread at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1 and include a link to your site, and we can help you there. Make sure to add the tags modlook and tumblr import to your thread so we don’t miss it. Then we can check the status of your import for you.

I am aware of this actually, I have a side blog that I’m trying to import. Thank you for the heads up though! I’m glad to know it’s in the queue!

@kokkieh I’ve already created two threads with those tags and have yet to hear back from any mods.

@technicallyflamey, this is because we’ve had thousands more threads than usual created in the forums due to this issue, so yes, we’re taking long to get to them. By posting multiple threads, and by hijacking threads started by other users, however, you’re making it harder for us to help both you and the original people who posted the threads where you are commenting, meaning everyone has to wait even longer for a reply.

We’ll hopefully get to your thread soon.
