Importing saved xml file from a multisite WordPress into a single site

  I had 2 websites in a multisite WordPress implemenation but decided that they need to be in separate websites. Cannot afford expensive ServeMask multisite tool and am not staying with multisite, but the export will not load properly into the new single-site WordPress instance. All-in-One tool fails in import since it wasn’t used to create the export xml file. How do I restore this website ?

  Hi Supernovia,

  I was using Bitnami hosting of WordPress

  The bind I am in is having converted two sites into a single server multisite implementation; bad move because the Multisite All-in-One tool is unafforable, so I can’t use it to export nor can a I run the single site All-in-Tool

  Just will set up individual servers, one for each site.
  Just trying to find a cost-effective way to migrate the website (not just text).

  If you decided to move your sites to WordPress.com you will need to purchase a separate plan for each of them:

  https://wordpress.com/support/plan-features/

  If you are thinking about hosting elsewhere, as @supernovia mentioned, it’s best to post to https://wordpress.org/support/forums/.

  Here we can only help with sites hosted on our servers :)
