Importing site

I’ve been trying to import a site through a wordpress xml file but it keeps getting stuck at various points. For example ‘Waiting on 24 resources to import’

I don’t see any import in progress on your site, and we also don’t show any messages regarding number of resources to import.
Are you trying to import the file to a self-hosted site? If that’s the case I’m afraid we’re not able to help as we don’t have access to self-hosted sites. Please post in the self-hosted WordPress forums if you need help with a self-hosted site:

I’m trying to import to https://speechtherapyforyou.wordpress.com I checked today and it looks like some of the files made it through?
I was under the impression that the site would be restored to the version it was in during the creation of the xml file

The import file only imports posts, pages and comments. Media files are only imported if they still exist in the media library of the site where you created the export file.
But theme, settings and layout are not included in the import file. Those have to be set up again on the site where you import the content.
Where did you export from? If you exported from a self-hosted site and not all your media files made it across we might be able to help, but the original site will need to still be online, and we’ll need its URL, please.
