Importing site from another domain

    I have imported a site (labouring life.uk) to wordpress.com using the domain troublevalley.com, but have a number of issues.

    The text categories, posts etc have all come across perfectly using an export to XML, however the images are not fully coming across (some have been imported) and any images within a post are still linked to the URI connecting to an uploads folder in the old domain and wordpress installation.

    is there anything i can do to ensure all images are exported and imported that the images are attached to posts?

    Do I get more capability if I get a full premium account. Its not clear at present whether that amounts to pretty near to self hosting or not?
