Importing site (with theme and plugins)

    I’d like to export a wordpress blog I made for a client from my private server to one an account in WordPress.com. Can I import my own themes when subscribed to the Premium and Business Plans?

    Is it possible to just back up the entire wordpress site from my private domain and just import everything to a new wordpress site with minimum hassle?

    Hi @ilionetouch,
    The simple answer to this question is no. With a WordPress.com account you have access to many themes, however you cannot import your own.
    As for the content, you can use the WordPress import/export tool to migrate posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags.
