Importing Squarespace Blog does not import all the blog images

We are moving our blog from Squarespace to WordPress. I exported from Squarespace per SS directions to a compressed WP xml file and uploaded to WP. I have downloaded and imported WP format file several times but each time I just get a few of the images to actually move to WP servers. Most images still just link to Squarespace which of course will no longer work when we shut Squarespace down. I see in the threads that this is fairly common but seems like it can be fixed. Can anyone help. — I also upload the zipped file to dropbox so I can share that with WP tech support if needed.

What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site you refer to please?
And, exactly which username account registered that site?
I’m asking because we cannot accurately answer questions posted here until we have confirmed the URL referred to and verified the hosting. You could be posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. If you are referring to a site that is not hosted by wordpress.COM, and if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
