Importing subscribers

  We are a school using the blog as an online newspaper and would like to import the email addresses (that we own) of our high school students so they’re alerted when new posts are online. I know typically you have to have an opt in, but since we own the email addresses, can we import them directly?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  Currently, we don’t have a method for importing a list of email subscribers. You could mass invite them to follow your blog as described here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/#invite-people-to-follow-your-blog

  However, they would need to manually confirm in order to follow the blog.
