importing tags from Blogger

    One of the reasons for moving to WordPress is the distinction between tags and categories
    Every time I re-import blogs from Blogger all the tags from Blogger come in again as Categories.

    The blogs aren’t affected in the import process (well sometimes photos disappear), but the consequences are.
    Can this be avoided in a way that doesn;t require manually deleting a whole bunch of ‘blogger-tags-become-wordpress-categories’ all over again?

    The support document below should help your transition. There is a category-to-tag converter, and vv, and if it’s not pointed out in one of the videos, it’s at the bottom of the main page for categories and the main page for tags. It’s in print so small only a lawyer could love it, so look closely for it.

    All of this presumes your new blog is a free blog hosted at wordpress.com. If you are paying for hosting, you are in the wrong place and need to be at wordpress.org. Another forum sticky explains the differences.
