Importing takes forever

  I’m trying to import my tumblr blog to my new WordPress blog, but the import process takes forever. I tried last night around midnight and at 4 a.m. it wasn’t finished yet. I tried again today and I’ve been waiting since midday. I’m using Google Chrome. Is there something I should do to accelerate the process?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi Alessandro,

  Can you try connecting your Tumblr blog and importing the content one more time?

  https://traduzionedicanzoni.wordpress.com/wp-admin/admin.php?import=tumblr

  You’ll need to disconnect the site and then reconnect it to restart the import.

  I visited your importer, and it doesn’t look like you have a Tumblr blog connected:

  Can you try connecting your Tumblr blog as demonstrated here?

  Uh-oh, wrong account, sorry.

  I don’t have a Tumblr blog connected now because I stopped the process after almost a day of waiting for it to start. I’ve already tried multiple times that procedure (also after you told me to try again), but it didn’t work unfortunately. :-|

  Hi Alessandro,

  It looks like you were having problems with importing in your traduzionedicanzoni.wordpress.com site. We removed that failed import and reset it. You should now be able to try again. Let me know if you run in to any troubles!
