  why is it taking so long to upload the imports to the aforesaid site?

  Did you read the notice on your site and wordpress.com dashboard? That site has been suspended because what you were trying to do is considered to be a violation of our Terms of Service.
  As very clearly stated on your site, you must contact the TOS-team by following the link to the mentioned Support Document, http://en.support.wordpress.com/suspended-blogs/.
