Importing the XML export file doesn't work

  Hi, I tried to import my older posts with a .xml file and I got this message:

  We are sorry, but there was an error while performing your blog import to http://xiaoyousuode.wordpress.com
  Please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed.

  will you please tell me what went wrong? thanks!

  Just for the future, the modlook tag goes in the thread tags in the sidebar or at the bottom of the form if you are adding a new thread from the create new forum thread form. I’ve added it for you here.

  Hi atendencytofill,

  I have cleared the Importer, please try your import again.

  Also just to verify, you are trying to import an .xml file from another WordPress site? It looks like you may have uploaded a .db file first which our importer rejected. Therefore, we just want to check :)

  Hi Amy,

  I’ve reset the importer a second time and checked the contents of your import file for errors. If you’d like I can also empty your blog which will give the importer a fresh start.

  I do see you attempted to import the file ending in .db again before the .xml file. I believe this is what is causing the importer to fail. Please only try to import the .xml file.
