Importing travel blog from Travelpod – Missing required body data.

    I have created a WordPress account, have downloaded all the data from Travelpod and am now trying to follow the instructions to upload the blog to my WordPress blog.
    When I drag the XML file into the wordpress import, – I get the following error message ‘Missing required body data’.
    I have tried to drag the entire folder labelled by Travelpod – XML-Word Press – with all trips over – same error message. Tried to include the HTML file which has my profile – still the same message. Please advise

    Worked for me…what did I do?
    1. Moved everything out of the zip file into a normal windows folder
    2. In WordPress I got to the import window and didn’t do drag and drop. I clicked in the middle of the drag/drop window and it took me to the normal windows file selector.
    3. My id in TravelPod is buckgw…so I had to open the folder called buckgw. Inside that I had to open a folder called XML-WordPress…and inside that are 12 files for my 12 blogs.
    4. I clicked on buckgw.trip.1 and away it went

    I suspect you’ve clicked on the wrong file

    Thank you, @garywbuck! I’ve seen one other thread here about an error with travelpod but it didn’t have enough details. I’ll bet your fix will solve their issue as well.

    @thewilsonbrothersblog can you give it a try?

    I had the same problem, “Missing required body data”, I followed garywbuck’s instructions and copied the entire contents of the zip file (but not the actual zip file) to another area of my computer and it worked a treat.

    Great to hear it worked for you. I’ve got 12 blogs to move. I really appreciate TravelPod guys creating the download utility but it is still a lot of work to get them up and going on WordPress. I’ve used WP before and wanted to use a free site.

    I’ve used the “Plane Theme”, done one small blog and started on a big one. It’s slow as you have to reattach all your photos to your blog entries…and in my case add a tag to differentiate each trip. Have a look at https://gandstravelblog.wordpress.com/

    You should be able to embed Google Maps actually:

    re: the images, did they just not come in at all? I think that’s something we’ll want to fix if we can find a way.
