Importing TravelPod XML files
-
TravelPod is closing it’s doors and they have created an archive of my travel blogs in XML format which they say is ‘easy’ to import to WordPress. I have been trying for 2 days and still get an error message that won’t import the file.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Worked for me…what did I do?
1. Moved everything out of the zip file into a normal windows folder
2. In WordPress I got to the import window and didn’t do darg and drop. I clicked in the middle of the drag/drop window and it took me to the normal windows file selector.
3. My id in TravelPod is buckgw…so I had to open the folder called buckgw. Inside that I had to open a folder called XML-WordPress…and inside that are 12 files for my 12 blogs.
4. I clicked on buckgw.trip.1 and away it wentI suspect you’ve clicked on the wrong file
Good luck

Thanks Gary, I will give this another try. I really miss TravelPod … it was so easy to use.
