Spinning it’s wheels even after 24hrs, hope you can give it a boot up the bum.

We’ve reset the importer state. Could you try running it again and see if it works?

We know that some users are facing issues with Tumblr import getting stuck, and our developers are investigating it. Please let us know if the import is stuck again, and we’ll let our developers know about it.

Also, I noticed you’re importing into a brand new WordPress.com site. May I know your goals with the site? Do you want to continue publishing on your WordPress.com site after importing your Tumblr content? Feel free to tell us a bit about your site. Now I get: You can only have one running import at a time. Please wait for the current one to complete. Disconnect Tumblr?? Try again.

Hi, looks like the import failed. So, I cleared it and reset the importer. You can now start again.

If the import stucks again or you see an error message, let us know and we’ll further look into it.

I’ve found a stuck import and deleted it. It should now let you import your Tumblr.

If it hangs again, let me know your Tumblr address so I can test it on my end.

Thanks for clarifying. We’ve asked our engineers to check and see what the issue is here. We’ve had other folk report issues with Tumblr imports as well, and we believe this may be related.

One thing I wanted to ask, you are only trying to import one site currently (flyguy.tumblr.com) and not multiple sites, yes? On our end it appears as if multiple sites are being imported so I want to be sure that you are only trying to import a single site on your end.

I’m only trying to import one but yeah it looks like it’s trying to suck in more. Will tinker on Tumblr.

Ok can you guys stop the import in your end so I can try again? There appears to be no way to stop from a users end other then disconnect which does not stop import.

Sure, I’ve reset the importer again. Note that we’ve already reported an issue with importing to our developers, so if it’s stuck again, you may need to wait until our developers had a time to troubleshoot. Please let us know how it goes after you try importing again.

So started the import yesterday again and made sure it was defo only one blog. Still no change and no import sadly, suggestions?

I’m sorry to hear that. :( Unfortunately, that means the import is stuck due to the bug. We’ve already reported this particular instance of the bug to our developers. While we don’t have an ETA as to when this might get fixed, we do need to wait for them.
