Importing Wix Site content

    Hi I am having a problem importing from my wix site
    http://www.ezemove.co.uk

    I want to keep that site on Wix , duplicate it and host it under the above domain name on w.p

    Can you help with this ?

    Hi there,

    Yes you can fully set up your new site with us before pointing the domain here. That way your current site can stay “live” on Wix until your new one is ready. In that scenario you would move your domain over as the very last step, to transition smoothly from your old site to the new one.

    I see that you were able to successfully import your pages from Wix and I see them listed here: https://wordpress.com/pages/

    Because Wix is such a different system from WordPress, we are able to move over your pages, blog posts (if any), uploaded media, etc. But we are not able to import the design/theme, navigation menus, and some settings like what page is set to be your “homepage”

    That can leave your site feeling a little empty at first, so I think the first place I’d recommend for getting started is to take a look at our themes, and choose one that you feel is the best fit for what you’d like your new site to look like: https://wordpress.com/themes/

    From there you can start filling the demo homepage with your content and images, and then set up the header and menu connecting to your other pages that have been brought over.
