importing wordpress blog into wix

Hi there, I’m trying to import my blog from WordPress into my wix website but it says there’s some plugin or geographic locations restrictions. I’ve just checked my WordPress settings and there’s none. How can I fix this issue? thanks

Here are a few things you can try to fix this issue:
- Verify that your WordPress site is publicly accessible: Make sure that your WordPress site is not set to private or hidden and that it can be accessed by anyone.
- Check your WordPress settings: Go to Settings > Reading in your WordPress dashboard and make sure that the “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” option is not selected.
- Disable any security plugins: Temporarily disable any security plugins you have installed on your WordPress site, such as a firewall or a security plugin that blocks specific IP addresses or countries.
- Check your hosting settings: If your website is hosted on a specific server, some configurations may be blocking the import process; check with your hosting provider to see if there is any restriction on your server.

Thank you for your reply. I’ve checked everything you mentioned and all settings are as they should be. i’ve contacted my hosting provider and they said I should contact WordPress. Hopefully someone will be able to fix this soon. The first time I imported my blog a few months ago I had no problems at all. This time things are not working as they should.

Just to clarify, the blog you are trying to export is lostgravity.wordpress.com and not a different WordPress site elsewhere?

In relation to your query about not being able to import blog posts from WordPress it seems as though the JSON file for your blog is not currently accessible.
A JSON file is a text file that migrates data from a web application to a server. Think of it as a file with all your blog content that needs to be accessible to Wix, in order to complete the migration process.
You can see this yourself by trying to access your site JSON by adding /wp-json/wp/v2/posts to the end of your WordPress site’s URL (e.g. https://examples.com/wp-json/wp/v2/posts). In that case, you will need to contact WordPress to make it accessible.

Thanks. I want to say the URL is different for a free wordpress.com site, but I’m not positive. We’ll do some digging.
