Importing wordpress file

  Hi, I have a wordpress exported .xml file from squarespace and would like to transfer my domain and host it with wordpress.com
  Can I upload the wordpress .xml file and make changes to the website?

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  Hi there,

  You can use that file to transfer your content here, yes.

  First, you’ll need to create a new WordPress.com site. You can do that by going to https://wordpress.com/start/site/

  If you also want to transfer a domain, you’ll need to upgrade to one of our paid plans to do that, but if you want to leave that for later you can also start with the free plan first. But when you’re ready, you can find the steps to transfer a domain to us here:

  Once the site is created, go to My Site ->Tools ->Import, and select the Squarespace option to upload your file.
