    Hello,

I have a wordpress.com blog. I purchased a domain name and hosting services from godaddy. I installed the wordpress application on my godaddy site. But how do I import my old blog to the new godaddy wordpress?

I exported the wordpress xml file from my wordpress.com blog but cannot find an “import” option anywhere on the godaddy wordpress application on my new domain.

    This is making me nuts!

    can anyone help?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Under tools > import on the new blog. Find the XML export file on your computer and away you go.

In some instances, it might be necessary to increase the PHP memory available to wordpress. The typical default value at most web hosting companies is 16 or 32MB. For large XML export files, I’ve had to increase that to 64MB.

But you need to ask questions about configuring and troubleshooting a self-hosted blog over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ .

Ok, thank you. The issue is ..I can’t even find the “tools” button on my godaddy hosting or in the godaddy wordpress app.

The tools menu should be in the left-hand navigation module in the dashboard of the new blog right above “settings.”
