Importing WP data

  I’m trying to import/upload a WP file to my blog (& have been trying for 2 days now), and I keep getting the “processing” message when I first enter the Import page instead of a request for the file name. Someone else posted this inquiry & was told that a system fix was made, but I am still experiencing the glitch. The fix has not “fixed”. Any updates?

  Hi there,
  How large is the XML export file? Sometimes the importer gets stuck. I tagged this thread for Staff to reset it for you. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

  Hi there!

  I’ve just cleared that stalled import for you. If the posts you were importing didn’t get added to your site, try importing the file again.

  Thanks to you both, timethief & shawnajroberts.

  timethief – The error was occuring as soon as I’d enter the WP import screen – I didn’t have a chance to load the file, therefore file size was not an issue. Thanks for the tag. :)

  shawnajroberts – It’s now up and running. Thank you for clearing the stall!
