importing xml files from xanga

    Hi! I downloaded my xanga export files. clicked on my sites/tools/import. Clicked on xanga. clicked on importer. clicked on 1 XML file. (764903_1.xml). response reads ‘The file is not an XML file. please see instructions for downloading…’

    The site I need help with is jfsoo.wordpress.com.

    Are you trying to import to jfsoo.wordpress.com?

    The only attempted imports I can see for that site in our logs were for Xanga .zip folders, not for .xml files.

    If you got the files from Xanga in a .zip folder, make sure to extract those before you try to import them. In Windows, find the .zip folder in File Explorer, right-click, and select Extract. Then import the individual .xml files in order as they’re numbered.
