Importing XML of Blog

  I have been importing my data from another blog, and it has taken ALL day and it’s still not done, is this normal or has something gone wrong?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Thank you for your reply, I’m attempting to remove my wordpress on the self-hosted site and put it onto a free wordpress blog…. that is what is taking FOREVER…

  Hi there,

  I’ve reset the importer on your WordPress.com site, https://lit4ladies.wordpress.com/.

  It appears the file you tried to import is over 17MB big. We only allow import files up to 15MB, and smaller is better. Please make a new export from your self-hosted site, this time doing incremental exports, only exporting posts from a limited date range at a time. Otherwise, you can also try splitting your import file using an XML splitter app.

  Either way, you’ll be left with several smaller files which should import successfully.
