Importing Yahoo360 blog into wordpress official request for feature

Yes, there are threads here with this question being asked and I have personally written customer service asking, but I have seen no resolution to this issue for WordPress hosted blogs. I would like to officially ask here if WordPress would please, please, please consider writing a function to allow the Yahoo 360 blog users (who are losing their homes) to import their blogs into WordPress, as opposed to cutting and pasting hundred of entries.
Many of us prefer and feel comfortable with the WordPress blogging platform but the notion of cutting and pasting hundreds of entries is overwhelming. I am guessing it should be relatively easy since two other platforms that I know of (Multiply and Vox) wrote programs to acomodate Y360 blogs as soon as the news of y360 closing was announced. And WordPress has already developed imports for Moveable Type and other blogs under it’s belt as well.
If I should be posting this request for this feature in some other spot, please let me know politely where it should go.

Why don’t you just subscribe to your Yahoo feed and use the XML file, rather than cutting and pasting?

sondan: as far as I can see, Yahoo 360 doesn’t publish any of the information we would need to know to build such a feature.
Does Yahoo 360 have an Export feature? If it does we’ll take a look and see if we can import it. If not, there’s probably not much we can do.

Yahoo doesn’t have an export feature to my knowledge and they are not answering any questions since their announcement in Oct 2007 ending support. But I assumed that if Multiply could write an import function, within a few weeks after the Yahoo announcement — that WordPress could do it as well. Gosh I wish I were a programmer so I could understand this all better.Hi Pipsquesk,

The software they talk about is no longer functional.Thanks anyway.
