Impossible to add photo to profile

  On one person’s blog (Tootlepedal) I had no difficulty registering as a follower and adding a photo via Gravatar. On Compare the Marsh Tit’s blog I had problems adding comments – you helped me, thank you, to realise I must register as a blogger myself though I have no intention of starting one! – but I still cannot ad a photo to my profile on that page . I’ve made the picture I want to use ridiculously small, and it *is* a .jpg, but I still keep getting the message “The file you selected could not be uploaded. It may be too large or it was not a valid image file. Please select another file or click the upload button to try again.” Help

  The URL of the site I am having problems with – not only can I not add a photo to my profile, I do not get an e-mail in my inbox when ghere is a new post – is http://comparethemarshtit.blogspot.co.uk/

  I compare it with http://tootlepedal.wordpress.com/ where I have had no problem from the outset: I was able to post without being told I had no identity, I was able to add a photo via Gravatar, and I receive an e-mail when the blogger adds a new post.
