Impossible to post using TOR

  I am using Tor and along with it Privoxy, Torbutton, etc. Can anyone advise what I am doing wrong? I also have a great deal of trouble even accessing the site and have to type in Privoxy-Force at the end of the urls… Thanks so much! When I try to post I get this message:

  Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

  The browser has stopped trying to retrieve the requested item. The site is redirecting the request in a way that will never complete.

  Duh – sorry about that. I meant to put in a link. Very new to this…
  I just went to check the blog and my post is there!! Yahoo! Still not sure how it happened, but happy anyway!! Thanks for your willingness to try to help!

  In my past experience, privoxy and other such proxy services are more of a pain than they are worth and I’ve tried quite a few of them. The fact that you have to put “privoxy-force” after the URL demonstrates that quite nicely as does the Firefox warning you are getting. This isn’t a wordpress.COM problem, it is either a privoxy issue, or a TOR issue, or perhaps both. It may be that you could “whitelist” wordpress.COM, but I’m not directly familiar with privoxy so I don’t really know.

  WordPress requires that they be able to set a cookie on your system. It will not work if you have cookies disabled either in the browser itself, or through a proxy service.

  My suggestion is that for working with your blog here at wordpress.COM (admin task, posting, etc.) you simply do it directly from the browser without using privoxy/TOR. Anytime you start inserting more things between you and wordpress.COM, you are inviting problems to come and sleep in your basement. WordPress.COM is a safe place.
