Improving site bloat?

  Hi, I’m trying to get my sites to load faster as it feels like every time I use them they just get slower and slower. I’ve read countless complaints online about Jetpack and how it impacts load times, but apparently you can’t disable that while using WordPress.com, so I was wondering if there are any other tips and tricks for improving the efficiency of my sites?
