Impulse 2 doesn't display thumbnails?

  Using other themes, photo posts are displayed as thumbnails on the main page just fine, but for Impulse 2, there are no thumbnails. Any ideas on how to change it so that they display?

  You mean Imbalance 2.

  Two ways:
  a) Set a featured image to each post: click the Add Media button, upload from your computer or select from the media library, click “Use as Featured Image” instead of “Insert into post”.
  b) Copy the image code from the HTML editor and paste it into the Excerpt module of the editor. Or use this code directly in the Excerpt module:
  <img class="size-full" src="IMAGE URL HERE" />
  If you’re not seeing the Excerpt module while on the post editor screen, click Sceen Options (top right) to activate it.

  Method a will give you a thumbnail above post category & post title, method b below them.
