In 2022, how to default ALL links to "open in new tab"?
-
I know how to manually have each link “open in new tab,” but it would save a lot of time if I could have all links automatically default to “open in new tab.”
There is a seemingly helpful forum thread on this topic from 2012, but the solution mentioned is to go to “Settings,” then “Sharing.” But “Sharing” doesn’t seem to exist anymore. Would appreciate up-to-date advice. Thanks!

Hi,
Enable Advanced Menu Settings
First, you must enable the advanced menu settings by following these steps:Go to Appearance → Menus.
Click the Screen Options tab at the top of the screen.->Link Targets (New Tab)
If you would like to control whether your menu links open in a new tab or window when clicked, enable the Link Target advanced property to reveal the Open link in a new tab setting on individual menu items. Here is the link explaining the above.

Hi, Shwetha. Thanks for your kind message. I’m not trying to have menu links open in a new tab. I’m wanting to have photos (“media”) in my posts automatically open in a new tab instead of having to click each photo and manually click the “Open in new tab” box. There must be a way to set a default. — Clay
