in a muddle with menus

Ok, I am new to WordPress so this might seem a bit of a crazy question. I have created a menu on the sidebar but it has a category in it that I don’t want. Plus I want to create menu which has a year – 2022- for example. When the reader clicks on this there is a drop-down list of the months in chronological order. So I am guessing it is easier to delete the current menu and start again rather than edit? and the next question is of course how to create this drop down type menu? I am on a business plan

    Hi there!

That’s definitely not a crazy question. We’re happy to help you with this. :)

You are correct that it might be easier to create a new menu with the menu items that you want to add to your site. Since you’re using a classic theme, you can create a menu by clicking My Site → Appearance → Customize → Menus.

Once you’re there, click Create New Menu → give the new menu a name and click the checkbox next to “Header” under Menu Locations and click Next.

Now you’ll follow these two sets of instructions:

    1. Follow these to add links to the menu.
    2. Follow these to create a drop-down menu item.

Once done, click “Save Changes” in the Customizer, so your changes are published on the site.

Please give it a try and let us know how it goes!
