When the gallery slideshow if running a Comment Box and Image info appears below the image. How can I remove both of these elements in the slideshow?

Hi there, you can turn off display of camera metadata (EXIF) in your site’s WP Admin Media Settings. https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/media-settings/
As far as the comment box goes, you’ll need to turn commenting off on each of the Gallery images in the Media Library. Open it to Edit it, scroll down until you see “Discussion Settings” and uncheck the box next to “allow comments…” Remember to save you settings. If you don’t see the discussion setting, click on the Screen Options tab at the top right of your browser window. (screenshots)
Unfortunately there is currently no way to bulk edit Media files to disallow commenting.
Lastly, there will still be a link to view the full size image which can only be suppressed if you have either the Premium or Business plan upgrade.
Protip: If you are going to be uploading a lot of images to your website, you’ll want to resize and optimize them in an image editor prior to uploading them to your site. Around 1600 pixels wide is a good size. This has the added benefits of preserving image clarity and maximizing your storage space.

Thank you for the quick response. Changing the media settings for the camera metadata has remove this information from the slideshow.
However I have not been able to remove the comment box (appearing below the images in the slideshow) by editing the individual images in the media library.
I appear to see most options by selecting first “Edit more details” and then selecting “Screen Options”. This shows the following tick boxes under “Boxes” all of which are not selected. Likes and shares, Discussions, Comments, Slug, Author. And the option of “Layout” which are 1 column or 2 column.
Thank you for the other advise. I do have the Premium Plan, so where would I turnoff the option to suppress the “view full size” link?

” all of which are not selected.
Hello again, You need to check the boxes in the Screen Options in order for those modules to appear on the page. Sorry if that was unclear before. Once the Discussion module is enabled, you can uncheck the comment and pingback boxes in the Discussion Module for each Media file in the Gallery.
I’ve tagged this for assistance in the correct CSS to hide the display of the View Full Size Image link.

Ok thank you that resolved the comment box. I’ve searched for but don’t find a topic for the “hide the display of the view full size image link”. Should I start one, search further or just wait?

I’ve tagged this for Staff in case there is something specific to the CSS for the Edin theme, but the code I saved from a long time ago was
a.jp-carousel-image-download { display: none!important; }You can copy and paste that into the CSS Editor in the Customizer to test it.

Hi there,
The code @justjennifer gave will work to hide the link. But if you want to hide the entire box in which the EXIF data and the link appears you can use this instead:
.jp-carousel-info {
display: none ! important;
} -
Ok those are both helpful. I’ve gone with the former to just remove the full size link so that the “Caption” label for the image still remains. In terms of labelling the images the Caption displays in a larger and clearer font than the other option I’d found which was to label the images in the slide show options. Thank you both for your help.
