  Thanks for the code and the suggestion. As you may know, we don’t support JavaScript on WordPress.com but I will add the idea of a shortcode for IMDb ratings to our idea bank for consideration in the future.

  You may also want to contact IMDb and encourage them to create a shortcode plugin for WordPress.org – if they haven’t already – and then get in touch with us about porting it over to WordPress.com. We have some guidelines here.
