In Bangkok and can't access my desktop

I am traveling in Bangkok and can not access my desktop – I am allowed to create a new post but not see my desktop access any tools change appearance ext. Whats up?

Can you explain a bit more about the issue you’re having? If I understand correctly, you’re currently not on your desktop. Could you let me know what device you’re using to access your site? Also, what exact tools are you unable to use from that new device?

I have figured out a way around this – usually when I go to word press and click on my avatar in the upper right corner it doesn’t offer Dashboard as an option – it has settings, trophies, help, friends, sign out. So I had no access to anything other than create a new post….which is not the same format as when you do it from the dashboard. I discovered if I click “my sites” on the left it gives me an option to go to my Dashboard. It’s just weird and round about and I’m not sure why it has disappeared from the drop down menu. Thanks!

Thanks for the clarification. We recently removed the “Dashboard” option from the top right menu as we continue to work to improve the navigation around WordPress.com. The My SItes page is now the best launching off point for starting a new post on any of your WordPress.com sites!

Thanks thats what I figured out – liked it much better the other way. This just adds an unnecessary step.

I understand. We definitely appreciate the feedback. If you would like, you can access your Dashboard directly by bookmarking the link urbanfoodguy.wordpress.com/wp-admin. That way, you can just navigate to your Dashboard right away!
