Will try to be brief… Cannot find the password to the email used to create the WordPress account BUT am still logged into this email, so, in WordPress changed the email address in my settings but this is not working…

Thanks Brian. I read that page (am a tech writer so I do read these things ;-) — anyway… I do know have a new password for my WordPress account BUT, the email address that WordPress will use in the future cannot be changed AND since I cannot find the password to that email address, if I “ever” close that tab in Firefox, I will never be able to access to the Gmail address again THUS if/when WordPress in the future contacts me at that e-dress I have BIG problemo. Got any more ideas for me? Thanks!

Okay. So you’ve probably thought of these things already, but humor me. The real problem seems to be that you don’t have the password to the e-mail address you used to set up your WordPress account. So what kind of e-mail address is this? Are you sure that there’s no password recovery procedure for it?
I know you’ve changed your WordPress.com account password. Have you read this page about changing your e-mail address?

Hello Brian.
You are so kind to share your time and help me. I appreciate your support! Now, the only issue I have remaining, is not, thankfully, WordPress. The initial email address for the WP acct was via Gmail. And since I didn’t opt to use a tel# for pw recovery the acct will lie in limbo. There are worse things.
