In my attempt to clean up some unwanted cookies I lost the two default editors.

  I have lost the two default editors to create a post. How do I get them re-installed?

  I was cleaning up some unwanted [I guess they were!] cookies. However, when I re-started the blog the two default editors for creating a new post were gone! I do need those editors to create a blog.

  Please show me how I can re-install and activate the two default editors I had from WordPress. Thanks.

  The only two post editors at WordPress.com are http://jayeshdalal.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=post and https://wordpress.com/#!/post/

  If you’re referring to http://jayeshdalal.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=post take a look near the top-right of the editor to switch between the Text and Visual editors.

  Thanks, macmanx.

  After I posted my problem I restored some cookies/widgets/apps [I do not know what were they] and as a result I got back the two editor buttons and some unwanted banner ads on the top of the page.

  Unfortunately, when I look at the menu bar under the Visual tab, it is totally blank! It used to have some editing tool buttons before!

  Any suggestion as to how I get the “full featured” Visual editor bar back and get rid of the ads. Obviously, getting a fully functional visual editor is my top priority.

  Hm, let’s try a few things:

  First, please make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting http://whatbrowser.org/

  If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.

  If it is, please do these four things:

  1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies: http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/

  2. Make sure that you have third-party cookies enabled: http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/

  3. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.

  4. Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

  Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.

  0) I’m using Chrome 26 and is up-to-date
  1) Did that with no improvement
  2) They are not blocked, so I assume they are enabled
  3) Did that with no improvement
  4)Did that with no improvement

  This may be of interest… when I mouse over the bar under Visual, an outline of buttons show with corresponding text but they are not visible and operational. So, the buttons are there! How do I make them visible. I hope that is a simpler problem to fix.:)
