In Sight theme, how to move featured slider from blog page to static front page?

I am using the Sight theme for my blog. I have created a static home page and moved the blog to a separate page. Unfortunately the featured slider has moved the the blog page and not remained on the new “front” page. I want the featured slider to be on my static home page, which is how it is described in the theme description:
“Sight displays up to 30 of your latest sticky posts that have featured images in a prominent slider on the front page. To add a post to the slider, mark it as sticky and give it a featured image.”
It seems that this is only true when the blog is the front page and does not apply to static front pages.
Please assist.

Also this blog hasn’t gone live yet. If someone responds I’ll send it live so they can see what’s happening.

The slider shows on the main posts page. The description is misleading: whoever wrote it forgot that the front page can be set to display a static page instead of your latest posts.
