In the blog I just created (b58facts) how do I delete the wording “This is the excerpt for your very first post.”

randolphsatellite,
That excerpt is from the default blog post. You can delete it by going to My Site > Blog Posts and choose the blog entry titled “First Blog Post”.
Under the blog post, click More and then Trash.
Please note per the Edit Posts Screen documentation:
Items in your trash folder can be restored or permanently deleted up to 30 days after you trash them.
If you need more help, please let me know!

Also, to edit the wording follow the instructions above. Instead of selecting More, you can select Edit to remove “This is the excerpt for your very first post.”
Hope this helps!

I went to Blog Posts but there was no blog entry titled “First Blog Post”.
That entry possibly disappears after my first post.I have already posted my first blog. Are you telling me that I now have to trash the entire blog and start over with a new one?
Isn't there an easier way to get rid of that saying without having to start over?

No need to trash your first post. Visit the post editor of that post (or click on “edit”) then you’ll see “post settings” and clicking “more options” on the right then you’ll see the “excerpt” box where you should be able to remove those annoying words.
