In the new format, how do I get my entire list of categories to drop down?
-
I got forced to the new format. 1. Can I go back? If so, how? 2. If not, I have a long list of categories set up and only the first two boxes worth show. How do I get the entire list to display or scroll so I can choose from them? 3. On the new format, is there a way to see the list of pages of articles like in the old format. The new format only shows a few per page and the old showed many.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy!
Let’s go through each questions separately. :)
Can I go back? If so, how?
Sure thing, we have no plans to remove the /wp-admin/ dashboard, but you’ll have to navigate there directly:
http://dnaexplained.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
I’d recommend setting up a browser bookmark for this page if you know you’ll want to create new posts in /wp-admin/ :

2. If not, I have a long list of categories set up and only the first two boxes worth show. How do I get the entire list to display or scroll so I can choose from them?
When clicking on the Categories box, a scroll option of all categories appears:
If you’re not getting a scroll option, could you take a screenshot of what you do see?
If you start typing a category, auto-complete suggestions also appear as they did in the old editor.
3. On the new format, is there a way to see the list of pages of articles like in the old format. The new format only shows a few per page and the old showed many.
This is available in the new dashboard here:
https://wordpress.com/posts/dnaexplained.wordpress.com
You can view all posts, filter by status (published, drafts, or scheduled) or search for post on that page. This listing is infinite scrolling, so just keep scrolling down and you can view all posts for a site.
You can switch between which site’s posts you want to view by clicking “Switch Site” in the top left.

Thanks Alex for your help. What I’m seeing for the categories is a scroll option of categories, but only two “boxes” worth. In other words, for my long list of categories, I’m only seeing the first 20 or so (I didn’t count). I want to see all of them. That’s how I make sure I get all of the correct categories, by looking through all of them. Glad to submit a screenshot to you or you can go and check. Not sure how to attach a screenshot for you.

The screenshot would be very helpful. :)
Could you upload the screenshot image to your media library? I’ll take a look at it there.

Hi Alex. I uploaded a screenshot to the http://www.dnaexplained.com media. You’ll notice that the list of available categories ends at B but I have many more. It won’t scroll down further. The screenshot is of the http://www.nativeheritageproject.com blog site. I verified that it was doing the same thing as the http://www.dnaexplained.com site in terms of the categories, and it is.

Thank you very much for the screenshot! This must just occur when there’s more categories than I had on my test blog.
I’ve reported this to our developer team that handles the new editor.
