In the Views by Country section, why are the states of Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh hatched out?? W

    This is just outrageous. I’m going to make a note of this. Those areas may be under turmoil, but there is NO way that they aren’t a part of the Republic of India. They still fall under the boundaries of our country. How could you represent a political map this way? With some sort of seditious agenda?

    Hello Sarangsheth,

    I now understand that you were referring to the maps used by the WordPress.com Stats.

    The map visualization is constructed with a third-party charting tool, Google’s Geochart. This tool is described in detail here: https://developers.google.com/chart/interactive/docs/gallery/geochart

    Geochart API documentation offers no method of affecting territory borders.

    While our Stats are using Geochart, WordPress.com or Automattic does not take a position on territorial disputes in India or elsewhere.
