Inability to diasable contents

Hi!
After thoroughly reviewing your helpful documents around disabling/enabling comments on a per-post basis, I am still unable to do so. It appears that the problem originates in the Screen Options. There is no button for me to click in my screen options that addresses comments.

Could you please send me a screenshot of the top of your Post editor? I’d like to see what’s happening up there, as you should have that tab!
Here’s what you should see (please click below):

If that’s NOT what you see, send me a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there.

Thank you so much for the quick response!
I reviewed your helpful example and found that my screen options are indeed different. I don’t have the standard image editing items on my computer, so I sent a screen shot to PowerPoint and uploaded it to my media library.
No hurry on a response…it’s the weekend and I’m in no hurry.

Me again! Just letting you know that I took an actual screen shot with my iPhone. What you’ll see are all of the screen options check boxes I have access to. Note that it might be buried a row or so down because I’m getting ready to upload several media items for my next post.
Again…no hurry! I’m don’t need to be able to disable comments until November 29. Thank you! -
Fixed!!!
I went through some different posts and came in “the back way” and found an option to click comments before starting a new post. Now it shows up on all of them.
So sorry to take your time with a problem I knew I’d end up clicking enough times to fix :-)
