Inability to like comments without logging in first

When I look up ‘simple likes’ information for my website posts comments there is nothing said about visitors needing to login or make a wordpress account to be able to like comments. It is important that visitors be able to do this because I often do polls on what post topic to do the following week. Please tell me how to make it so visitors can easily just press the like button on comments!

To use Likes people need a WordPress.com account. That is how these things work. If you wanted to leave feedback about a product at Amazon you’d need to be logged in to Amazon first.

However people don’t need aWordPress.com account to leave comments on your site as long as you have the correct settings enabled in your dashboard. -
