Inaccessibility to my WordPress.com site
-
Good day. Yesterday, I made a few changes to my account settings on my WordPress.com site (user name, external links to contact me and/or find my content etc.). This morning, I was unable to log in to my account. I was told that I needed to submit certain info before receiving assistance from WordPress, one of which is an activation URL or key. Problem is, I’ve been a WordPress user for almost 10 years now, and I have no knowledge of ever receiving an activation URL or key. I created a new account this morning with my alternate e-mail, and even after confirming my e-mail address, I didn’t receive a key or URL.
Additionally, I tried importing my old WordPress.com webpage to this new account, but I received a message stating that (just paraphrasing here), the old page is already in WordPress. I am at my wit’s end here, and I really don’t want to manually import the articles I’ve worked on for years now into a brand-new account. Is there any way I can gain access to my old WordPress.com page? Please help!!

https://legallyblack.wordpress.com belongs to a different WordPress.com account here, not the one you’re currently logged in under.
If you do not recall the password for the correct account, we have some options for you at https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/

I know it’s not the one I’m currently logged onto. The account I’m communicating to you with is a new one I created this morning. I’m technically locked out of the WordPress.com account https://legallyblack.wordpress.com is under.

When I try to log into that account, I keep getting the message “This account has been closed. If you believe your account was closed in error, please contact us”

I’ve just reviewed the account that owns legallyblack.wordpress.com. The account which owns that site is not closed. It sounds like you are attempting to log into the wrong account.
For privacy and security reasons, we’re not able to convey any ownership or account info. If you are not able to log into the account which owns legallyblack.wordpress.com, let’s have you drop an email to passwordhelp@wordpress.com (using the account recovery guide linked above as a guide). Our Account Recovery team will get back to you if they have questions. Thank you in advance for your patience.
