Hi! I am wanting to change my blog name but the two names I attempted to switch to are in use but one site has nothing posted to it and the other hasn’t had a post since 2012.. is there something we can do about that? I’m really excited about getting my blog up and running and I really wanted to use wordpress because it’s so easy to figure out but I am frustrated that I’m being held back by this issue!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
“If you find that an active blog address is registered by another user, you may be able to obtain it for your use if the owner of the blog agrees to transfer it to you.” Continue reading here:

Ok, I commented on the people’s posts of the two name options. I also saw another one I love but it’s reserved. What’s that mean?

Well, hopefully one of them will respond and be kind enough to transfer it to you.
When you see reserved, it means that someone has registered it but hasn’t used it yet. Which also means you won’t be able to use or claim it.
Reserved Site Names/URLs
When a WordPress.com user signs up for an account we reserve the URL of their username. So if they signed up for the username of exampleuser we would reserve exampleuser.wordpress.com for them. There is nothing we can do to unreserve it and you will need to choose a different name.
