Inactive blog

  I have an inactive blog currently in “private” and am thinking of opening it to “public”. It has been inactive since Jan/2013. Would I be best to just open up this blog, or start a new blog with a link directing them from the old blog to the new blog? The blog was successful in it’s 5 year run, I just had to close it for personal reasons. Thanks.

  The choice is up to you on whether you want to start a new blog or just reopen your existing blog (move it to public mode).

  You could move your existing blog to public mode but it won’t immediately appear in search engines. It could take a few weeks for major searches engine to re-index your site.

  You can speed this up by setting up Google Webmaster Tools:

  I STRONGLY recommend just setting it back to public and blogging away again. Why reinvent the wheel?
